This is a rare opportunity to play a key advisory role in a global, fast-paced environment, partnering closely with business leaders across Australia and New Zealand and collaborating with colleagues around the world.Key ResponsibilitiesAs Legal Counsel, you will act as a trusted advisor across a wide range of matters, including:Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad spectrum of commercial agreements, such as consultancy, supplier, licensing, marketing, and distribution contractsAdvising on legal issues relating to retail operations, including commercial property, employment, consumer protection, privacy, intellectual property, and competition lawProviding guidance on privacy and data protection, including investigations and risk mitigationContributing to business-critical compliance and governance programs, such as modern slavery and packaging reporting obligationsAssisting with disputes and regulatory matters, both internally and externallyPartnering with global legal teams on strategic cross-border initiativesAbout YouYou will ideally have:6+ years’ PQE gained from a top-tier law firm and/or in-house in a complex, multinational businessStrong experience in retail property leasing is essentialFurther experience in commercial contracts and general advisory work, ideally within a retail, fashion or e-commerce environmentA pragmatic, business-oriented approach with the ability to balance risk with commercial outcomesExcellent communication skills and the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across a matrixed businessA collaborative, proactive mindset with a genuine interest in innovation and operational improvementWhat’s On OfferJoin a legal team that is embedded in the business and highly regarded for its commercial acumen.
