Qualified Mechanical Fitter or Plumbing Gasfitter
Partnered with BOC Limited, we are looking for a qualified Mechanical Fitter or Plumber Gasfitter to take responsibility for the mechanical maintenance and installation of equipment across both customer and BOC sites as a Customer Engineering Services Technician.
With exposure to a variety of customers and tasks, you will be visiting sites in the medical, industrial, mining, hospitality and scientific industries.
This full‐time position is based in Gladstone.

Job Details
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Ensuring a high level of customer service to internal and external customers
* Building and maintaining relationships with key customers to ensure customer satisfaction and to explore new opportunities
* Work collaboratively with other departments including operations and sales to ensure business targets are met and take corrective actions where required
* Conduct preventative maintenance in compliance with BOC and Australian standards while optimising costs and customer service
* Support the delivery of the cost budget including improvements during the year and monitor and manage performance against KPIs
* Maintain, track and store assets appropriately, ensuring availability and correct and timely completion of documentation
* Ensure plant and equipment is fit for purpose e.g., serviced, guarded, risk assessed including the use of the BOC tagging system
* Installation and removal of equipment
* Provide technical support and troubleshoot equipment
* Calibrate and test gas analysers at customer and BOC sites
About You
The successful candidate will be either a Mechanical Fitter or Plumber Gasfitter with demonstrated experience with industrial gas system maintenance. Experience with flow control, compressors, refrigeration and project installation would be highly regarded. High attention to detail is required in this role.
Key qualities include being self‐motivated, trustworthy and comfortable working alone in this customer‐facing role. Additionally, you must:
* Have completed your Certificate III in a relevant qualification
* Hold a driver's licence
* Hold a gas licence or medical gas licence
* Be able to pass Coal Board Medical for work on mine sites
* Be safety‐minded and well presented
* Have excellent listening skills and be able to follow instructions
* Be able to pass a Medical, Drug and Alcohol and Police Check
