A day in the life of a Residential Accommodation Disability Support Worker at Yooralla
Supporting clients with their daily goals, shopping, appointments, and events, and assisting with daily living and personal care needs, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility.
We’re looking for passionate individuals with a great attitude and eagerness to learn. You’ll share Yooralla’s values and have:
* A positive approach, initiative, and self-motivation
* Commitment to empowering clients and upholding quality and safeguards
* Effective communication skills and good English literacy
* Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team
* Willingness to support clients with personal care activities
* Australian Driver Licence
* The right to work in Australia
* The ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification if not already held
A Certificate IV in Disability, relevant work experience, or an interest in community services is preferred, but not required. Yooralla provides training and support, including opportunities to work and study simultaneously. Transferable skills are also valued.
You will be subject to an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
