As a Senior Textile Technologist, you will lead the development and performance of raw materials used in our uniform clients.
This role ensures all fabrics and trims meet strict quality and compliance requirements. Key responsibilities include:
* Owning research, development, and lifecycle management of fabrics and proprietary trims.
* Maintaining a complete fabric/materials library.
* Ensuring raw materials meet standards and legal obligations.
You'll be working closely with teams and suppliers to ensure product compliance and deliver cost-optimised outcomes.
This role also involves ensuring fabric suppliers meet ethical sourcing and sustainability standards, building relationships with stakeholders, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Technical expertise in textile development and commercial knowledge. A degree or certificate in textile design or manufacturing is required. At least five years' experience in textile or raw materials development is needed.
* Fabric testing and performance standards knowledge.
* Global material sourcing expertise.
Problem-solving and technical analysis skills are essential. Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement are also required.
