ABC News Breakfast is looking for a Senior Producer to help plan and execute agenda-setting conversations that help shape the national discourse.
You will be working closely with the planning and presenting teams for then national broadcaster's flagship breakfast TV program.
We want to foster your creativity to deliver stories of impact and build on your strong editorial background.
Ideas are paramount in this role, so come with plenty
The Job Plan and produce impactful news content for broadcast and digital platforms
Assist with briefing presenters, and securing top-tier talent
Support the program with strong coverage plans
Supervise content production and resolve any issues in a fast-paced, daily news environment
Help drive digital coverage plans that complement the televised rollout
Field produce as required
Monitor news, trends, bring strong contacts, and explore new storytelling methods in an approachable and appropriate way for breakfast audiences
Build relationships with key stakeholders and audiences
Engage with communities to tell relevant stories that matter Position Description:
You'll have: Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience
Strong editorial skills across TV, digital and on-demand platforms
Proven ability to plan, produce and deliver accurate, innovative news content in a creative and engaging way for breakfast audiences
Experience with outputting live bulletins, breaking news and rolling coverage is advantageous
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
The ability to deliver creative, engaging, and impactful content in line with ABC News Breakfast's strategies.
Knowledge of the rules and regulations of broadcasting in Australia, with a working knowledge of media law
