**Role Summary**:
The Construction Manager Sustainable Projects is an exciting opportunity in our Thermal Projects team based at our Cockburn/Kwinana site.
The Sustainability Projects Construction Manager is an essential member of both Thermal Projects and the Sustainability Project team. The role is primarily responsible for the management, co-ordination and safety of all aspects of construction on assigned projects, across all sites, including construction related activities of all entities delivering to the Projects e.g. Western Power or contractors.
This role will primarily be based at Kwinana / Cockburn power station site and is also expected to frequent Synergy Head Office as required to key build relationships, there will also be an element of travel to various Synergy sites and Project locations with-in the SWIS.
**Key responsibilities of the role include**:
- Review Project and Contractor plans, designs, specifications, and drawings for constructability and provide input on any construction aspects to improve schedule, reduce cost and best mitigate HSE and other project risks.
- Ensure adequate communication between all Project entities to ensure interfaces are working efficiently and effectively, to minimize or mitigate risks to HSE, schedule and cost.
- Provide direction and timely instructions to ensure continuity of construction and the achievement of target schedule.
- Ensure that induction procedures for all Project site personnel are carried out in conformance to site and Synergy requirements.
- Maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders and assist in identifying possible interface issues.
**What you'll bring**:
- Trade certificate preferably in electrical, engineering, mechanical or equivalent
- A current Australian Drivers Licence (Education/Qualifications)
- Experience in supervising construction contractors & workforce and monitoring site works to enable achievement of project delivery and quality assurance.
- Experience in reviewing all controlling documents and specifications for the site construction activities ensuring they comply with specified design and construction specification.
- Experience in working to project execution plans, such as project execution plans and or construction management plans.
