About the Role
As a Service Technician, your primary responsibility will be attending to reactive service works and planned maintenance across a portfolio of security contracts. You'll also assist other departments as required, including supporting Project Managers on active projects. This role includes participation in an after-hours on-call roster as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Attend scheduled planned maintenance works under maintenance contracts following project handovers
* Attend to works during the defects liability period on contractual projects
* Respond to reactive service call-outs efficiently and professionally
* Assist Project Managers with ongoing project works as requiredUpdate job status to enable rescheduling and invoicing
* Complete and maintain required spreadsheets, E-Forms, and documentation
* Correctly allocate materials and parts to jobs
* Maintain accurate vehicle stock levels
* Raise purchase orders using SimPro or purchase order books
* Carry out maintenance works on communications racks when required
* Complete quotation request forms for Estimators and submit to the Service Manager.
* Communicate with the Service Manager regarding any required changes to mark-ups on plans or drawings
About You
You'll be a reliable, organised, and customer-focused technician with solid technical knowledge and a strong understanding of safe work practices. You will have:
* Proven experience in electronic security service and maintenance
* Strong understanding of security cable installation planning and processes
* Knowledge of electrical safety standards
* Experience with security systems such as Gallagher, Milestone, or similar platforms
* Sound understanding of safe work practices and JSA requirements
* High standards of customer service and communication
Qualifications
* Security installers license required.
* Cabling Installers Licence
* Valid driver's licence.
