Job Title: Safety Professional
About the Role
This exciting opportunity is for a driven and experienced safety professional to support our community.
The successful applicant will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and engagement of our workforce. You'll work closely with operational teams and senior leaders to lead safety initiatives, foster a positive safety culture, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement effective safety systems, policies, and procedures
* Conduct risk assessments and site safety reviews across the community
* Champion a safe and caring culture by partnering with leaders and staff
* Support investigations and implement corrective actions following incidents or near misses
* Analyse safety data and prepare reports to inform strategic decision-making
* Provide expert advice and guidance on all safety matters
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or a related field
* Experience in a safety role, ideally within aged care, community services, or health
* In-depth knowledge of safety legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and educate others
* A proactive approach to continuous improvement and change management
