Future Students, Engagement and Technology

* Continuing, full-time
* $ 110,591 to $ 128,345 per annum
* Plus 17% employer superannuation
* Salary packaging options are available
* 20 days family and domestic violence leave available per annum
* 20 days gender affirmation leave per annum
* 10 days Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural and ceremonial leave per annum
* 5 weeks annual leave plus Christmas week shutdown, per annum
* Armidale based. Flexible or hybrid work arrangements available

About the role

As the leader behind UNE'S paid social media campaigns, activations and partnerships, you'll help to leverage UNE's brand through digital and social media touchpoints, including LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok and UNE's brand channels. Working closely with Director of Marketing and the cross-functional marketing team areas, you will open doors to drive our student engagement, brand market awareness and uplift enrolments across the UNE market portfolio.

This position is responsible for developing and executing engaging social media campaigns, leveraging our paid media and brand strategy, and enhancing our paid partnerships. This requires exceptional communication, stakeholder management and a requirement to maintain relationships across UNE through commercial, academic and professional pillars.

By leveraging marketing intelligence, trends and insights, you will help to build and lead our paid partnerships, whether through influencers, creative opportunities or other publisher opportunities. As part of this role, you will help to reshape our social content strategy, writing briefs and managing projects from start to finish.

This hands- on role also requires the ability to negotiate contracts, make informed decisions, and increase our brand effectiveness, inclusive of activations and bringing community management skills to the table. We aim to foster meaningful audience interactions while maintaining brand trust, coupled with analytical expertise to monitor performance metrics and drive cost-effective operations. You will also collaborate with various stakeholders on major brand and product campaigns, ensuring maximum reach and engagement across all digital channels – to our target audiences.

You will need to be curious and continue to grasp opportunities within the digital and social innovation space. The role is a collaborative and cross-functional approach, with responsibilities including the development and management of comprehensive performance analysis, and regular stakeholder reporting to inform strategic decision-making.

Through proactive and strategic content creation, this position plays a crucial role in building and maintaining UNE's digital presence while identifying opportunities for future growth and audience engagement.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Proven social media and content expertise, with campaign management and strategic alignment
* Strong commercial acumen with experience in budget management and stakeholder engagement
* Excellence in analytics and performance tracking across digital platforms
* Outstanding communication, organisational and project management skills
* Experience in managing influencer partnerships, brand activations or content programs
* A creative mindset with the ability to spot emerging trends and opportunities
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders

About the Faculty/Group

The Future Students and Engagement Department at UNE oversees all external-facing functions at UNE with a comprehensive, integrated strategy. This includes marketing, advancement, alumni office, social media, and corporate communications and events. The department focuses on engaging with industry partners, alumni, philanthropic supporters, governments and communities, while also attracting and connecting with prospective students. The team effectively showcases UNE's offerings, builds relationships with key stakeholders, and fosters a strong connected community.
