About The Role

We are looking for Key Workers to deliver interventions to NDIS participants (specifically children aged 0-8) and their families that lead to positive, life‐changing outcomes.

Availability and commitment to support before/after school appointments is essential, as this is the most highly requested time for Key Workers to provide therapy to their participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in the social model, delivering therapy in diverse settings such as homes, schools, playgrounds and community centres
  • Attend a family's home to conduct an initial appointment, using assessment and communication skills to understand the child, the family and their goals
  • Collaborate with a kindergarten teacher to support a child in developing motor skills
  • Coach parents to identify a school that best suits their young child's needs
  • Collaborate with a Speech Pathologist and family members to support a child in developing communication and social skills
  • Build meaningful relationships with participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
  • Document and bill each session through our online participant management system
  • Provide after‐school support for a 5‐year‐old to establish consistent routines
  • Attend the weekly team meeting in the Hub, sharing stories of impact, coffee and laughs
  • Meet with your Team Leader and Therapy Mentor to tap into their clinical knowledge and support
  • Participate in an online mentoring session to learn how to use Assistive Technology with a participant and apply behavioural support strategies
Qualifications and Experience
  • If you are an Occupational Therapist, you will have a degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration
  • If you are a Physiotherapist, you will have a degree in Physiotherapy and AHPRA registration
  • If you are a Speech Pathologist, you will have a degree in Speech Pathology and SPA registration
  • If you are an Educator, you will have a Bachelor or Master's degree in Early Childhood Teaching or Special Education
  • Minimum 12 months experience working with children aged 0-8 and their families
  • Demonstrated experience working with children with disability
  • A positive and flexible approach to work
  • Strong communication skills and a team‐player attitude
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth
  • A valid Australian driver's licence
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Availability and commitment to support before/after school appointments
