About the Role
The Facilities & Fleet Manager plays a critical role in overseeing office premises and facilities, managing the company's vehicle fleet, and supporting the stationary needs of our national sales teams. If you pride yourself on being a bit of a "caretaker" in an office environment and take ownership of keeping spaces running smoothly, this role is for you.
This role is key to delivering operational efficiency, safety compliance, cost control, and a productive working environment. It is a hands‑on, multifaceted role requiring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across logistics, facilities maintenance, and office support.
Please note: this role requires you to be on site Mon‑Fri in our vibrant Byron Bay HQ located in the industrial estate – please only apply if you reside in the Northern Rivers.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Office Management
o Ensure maintenance of tidy, functional office space and working environment.
o Ensure smooth day‑to‑day office operations, reception, mail, and supplies.
o Manage relationships with IT, telephony, and utilities providers.
o Support onboarding and offboarding with desk setup and access.
o Assist with office events, staff communications, and continuity planning as needed.
* Facilities Management
o Manage office locations and physical assets including maintenance, cleaning, security, and fit‑outs.
o Coordinate building services and WHS compliance.
o Oversee property leases, renewals, and contractor negotiations.
o Lead sustainability and safety initiatives (energy use, recycling, fire safety) .
* Fleet Management
o Ensure vehicles are roadworthy, insured, and compliant with state and national regulations.
o Manage fuel usage, GPS tracking, servicing schedules, and accident reporting processes.Develop and implement fleet policies, procedures, and cost efficiency initiatives.
o Maintain relationships with fleet suppliers, leasing companies, and service providers.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in fleet, facilities, or asset management preferred.
* Familiarity with task management or ticketing systems.
* Experience with fleet management software (bonus).
* Understanding of WHS and sustainability practices.
