The Galiwin'ku Recreation Hall Manager is responsible for ensuring cohesive operations of the Multipurpose Hall/Cyclone Shelter.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage internal and external bookings, stocktake, and adherence to policies and procedures.
* Work closely with colleagues to develop and implement library programs, ensuring community access for culturally safe learning opportunities.
* Actively manage and support the Library service, including roster management, coaching, and administration requirements.
* Assist in delivering key service events, including planning and promotion with stakeholders.
* Oversee space management within the Multipurpose Hall, coordinating bookings and maintaining a functional environment.
* Prepare the Cyclone Shelter under direction from the Council Services Manager.
* Manage council assets/equipment, reporting damage and faults immediately.
* Clean and organize the Multipurpose Hall/Cyclone Shelter before and after use.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Relevant qualification in Library Services or Community Development with demonstrated experience in strategic planning and project management skills.
* Demonstrated administrative and organisational skills, including records management and project management.
* Strong organisational skills, leading a complex service space with competing demands.
* First Aid and CPR qualification, or willingness to obtain.
* Knowledge of and commitment to applying a strengths-based approach, working within an Indigenous cultural framework.
* Adaptable and resilient, able to live and work in cross-cultural environments.
* Effective communication skills, including stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution.
* Effective time management, working autonomously.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
