What You'll Do
We're on the lookout for a passionate and experienced hospitality professional to step into the full-time role of Restaurant Manager. Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to make a long-term impact .
Role
You'll take the lead in managing the food & beverage aspects of tour and group bookings, from the initial enquiry right through to the day of service—ensuring every detail is seamless and kept on track. You'll also play a pivotal role in elevating the à la carte offering at our Altitude Restaurant and Lounge Bar, bringing fresh ideas and energy to enhance the guest experience. If you're ready to inspire a team, champion local produce, and shape the future of our dining experience, we'd love to hear from you. On a daily basis you'll:
* Oversee and support the daily operations of Altitude Restaurant & Bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
* Manage rostering, recruitment, and team development, fostering a motivated and high-performing team.
* Monitor and maintain stock levels, ensuring timely and accurate order processing.
* Work collaboratively and professionally with the Head Chef and Heads of Department across the property to deliver a cohesive guest experience.
What You'll Bring
* 2+ years management experience in food and beverage (multi-venue experience a bonus)
* A reputation for providing excellent customer service, engaging in great conversations with our guests.
* A vibrant attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.
* Ability and passion to build the skills and knowledge of our team through great training, coaching and mentoring.
* Strong financial and inventory management.
* Knowledge of contemporary food and service trends and culinary styles.
* Broad knowledge of wine varieties and appropriate food and wine combinations.
* Experience living and working in a remote location preferred but not essential.
* Own car/personal transport a must
* Valid RSA and DoFoodSafely Certificate of completion
