Cubic Defence Australia is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our high-performing HR team. In this pivotal role, you will partner closely with senior leaders to align people strategies with business objectives, driving organisational performance, culture, and growth.

You will act as a trusted advisor, delivering innovative and practical HR solutions across the full employee lifecycle while supporting complex business challenges in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Partner with senior leaders to develop and implement people strategies aligned to business goals.

* Build strong relationships and develop deep understanding of business operations, including strategic plans, financial performance, and workforce needs.

* Provide expert HR advice across employee relations, performance management, organisational design, and workforce planning.

* Lead and support organisational change initiatives including restructures, growth programs, and transformation activities.

* Collaborate with global HR Centres of Excellence (COEs) to deliver integrated HR solutions across talent acquisition, reward, talent management, and compliance.

* Drive employee engagement initiatives, interpret survey results, and implement targeted action plans to enhance culture and retention.

* Coach and support leaders in performance management, career development, and succession planning.

* Manage complex employee and industrial relations matters, including investigations and union engagement where applicable.

* Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policy, and regulatory requirements.

* Support recruitment for senior roles, internal mobility, and international or rotational assignments.

* Contribute to broader HR projects and provide support across the HR team as required.

About You

You are a commercially astute HR professional with a strong track record of influencing leaders and delivering impactful people outcomes in complex environments.

You will bring:

* A degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline.

* Minimum 6+ years’ experience in HR generalist or HR Business Partner roles.

* Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM, CIPD) highly regarded.

* Strong experience managing complex employee relations cases through to resolution.

* Demonstrated experience supporting organisational change and transformation initiatives.

* Sound knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations, and HR best practice.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all organisational levels.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage ambiguity, and meet deadlines.

* Experience within engineering, defence, technology, or service-based industries (desirable).

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Workday is advantageous.
