About the Team
Our in-house legal team, the Office of General Counsel (OGC) deals with the structuring, review, drafting, and negotiation of a variety of corporate and commercial arrangements and agreements to support the growing KPMG business. Our OGC team have access to some of the world’s leading subject matter experts on key issues such as regulation, audit, tax and international transactions, with a strong focus on inclusive collaboration for success.
Your Opportunity
KPMG’s Office of General Counsel provides objective and independent legal advice and support to KPMG in Australia. Our experienced and professional in-house legal team offers legal counsel across all service offerings of KPMG Australia. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic solicitor to join our team, with a focus on regulatory issues, litigation, and dispute resolution. Additionally, we offer hybrid working options to support a flexible work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Office of General Counsel, as well as external law firms and counsel, to resolve disputes, address regulatory concerns, and respond to claims against KPMG.
• Provide timely and well-informed legal advice on complex legal risks and issues affecting KPMG.
• Assist in handling orders, notices, summonses, and subpoenas served on KPMG.
• Gain extensive experience in commercial litigation and dispute resolution through a varied and challenging in-house role.

• Demonstrated excellent communication, drafting, and legal research abilities.
• Have familiarity with the court system in New South Wales, including the Federal Court and Supreme Court.
• Hold a strong academic record with 3-4 years of post-qualification experience in a leading law firm or an in-house environment.
• Experience in employment law matters is preferred but not essential.
• Exhibit analytical and commercial thinking, with a solution-focused mindset and eagerness to learn.
• Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
• Possess a strong team-oriented attitude.
• Dedicated to professional development and continuous improvement.
