Role Overview
We offer an opportunity to work as a Field Service Representative for Industrial Gas Turbines in Perth, Western Australia. As part of our global maintenance network, we provide individual solutions directly at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
1. On-site assembly and disassembly of industrial gas turbines (LM2500, LM6000) mainly in Australia and occasionally in Southeast Asia.
2. Performing preventive and corrective maintenance work on packages according to OEM documentation.
3. Starting up packages after repair according to corrective maintenance measures.
4. Remote monitoring, troubleshooting, and diagnostics (borescope inspections) for facilities to be maintained.
5. Assessing asset performance.
6. Providing on-site technical customer support.
7. Technical instruction and supervision of subcontractors.
8. Documenting results and composing maintenance reports.
9. Preparing and wrapping up field service events (organisation of business trips and logistics for spare parts, tools, etc.).
10. Supporting the Director with technical queries.
11. Preliminary induction planning in consultation with relevant specialist departments.
12. Providing technical support for receivables management and completed jobs.
13. Serving as the primary point-of-contact for technical inquiries.
14. Contact person for all team matters.
15. Capacity, qualification, and vacation planning.
16. Internal order coordination and placement.
17. Ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
18. Independent evaluation of different work scopes.
19. Participation in the on-call service.
Required Skills and Qualifications
1. Citizenship or right to work in Australia.
2. Four years general training as an engine engineer.
3. Two years specific shop training (level 2, 3, 4) on LM2500 and LM6000 in a depot.
4. Long-standing experience in on-site maintenance and repair of LM2500/LM6000 industrial gas turbines and package components.
5. Long-standing experience in offshore maintenance and repair.
6. Excellent command of spoken and written English.
7. Willingness to travel and perform hands-on maintenance work.
8. Confidence, competence, and credibility in dealing with customers.
9. A structured and focused approach to work.
10. Ability to work independently and improvise.
