As a result of significant growth across the Australia and New Zealand region, they are seeking a passionate Health, Safety and Environment Advisor to join their team and contribute to the continued success and future growth of the ANZ operation. The Opportunity: Reporting directly to the General Manager, this hands-on, stand-alone role will offer you true ownership and the opportunity to make a real impact across Health, Safety and Employee Wellbeing. In partnership with a highly engaged onsite leadership team, you will support and drive site safety culture and performance, ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety requirements, and support continuous improvement initiatives across multiple facilities in the ANZ region. Your key responsibilities will include: Developing, revieing and implementing all WHSE policies, procedures and guidelines, driving high operational standards across the health, safety, and environmental function Developing and driving a culture that supports the safety and wellbeing of all individuals working at or visiting the sites Providing appropriate interpretation, advice and support across the company in relation to Work Health, Safety and Environment management Conducting regular audits and risk assessments with relevant managers across multiple sites Responding to and investigating concerns/complaints in relation to workplace health and safety and assisting in taking appropriate action Developing and conducting toolbox talks and chairing safety meetings. Coordinating WHS inductions and delivering HSE training programs to all employees, contractors, supervisors and management Performing inspections of the premises, equipment, and work practices, evaluating risks and hazards, the effectiveness of controls, and identifying issues, non-conformances and improvement opportunities Investigating and recording workplace incidents, accidents and near missus, ensuring detailed reports and corrective actions are implemented swiftly Developing and producing timely and accurate WHSE reports and metrics Your Profile: The successful candidate will be a passionate, dedicated and confident Safety professional who enjoys the strategic elements of your role as much as the hands-on elements. Solution-focused and collaborative in your approach, your communication skills are second to none and you have the ability to influence and inspire at all levels of the organisation. You are proactive, adaptable and resilient and thrive working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy and ownership. You are an innovative thinker and passionate change leader who will bring new ideas and ways of working to the table. To be successful in this role you will have: Tertiary qualifications in WHS, OHS, Engineering or a related field. (Cert IV in Training or RTW is a bonus.) 3- 5 years' experience in a similar position, gained within a manufacturing, transport or logistics environment Demonstrated experience in developing policies, procedures and systems in a multi-site business Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, Risk Management and Safety Management systems Solid understanding of appropriate Standards such as AS4801, ISO45001, ISO14001 Prior experience in sustainability or environmental management Previous exposure to quality management would be highly advantageous In return, this opportunity is a chance to join a global market-leading manufacturer, take ownership of the HSE function and play an instrumental role in developing these functions for future growth.
