Our organization is seeking an Engineering Geologist to join our team in Darwin.
This role will be part of our consulting group, complementing projects to ensure they run efficiently and effectively. This position is ideal for those with medium-level experience looking to advance their career.
About the Role
* We are looking for a candidate who can prepare quotes for potential projects; perform analysis, design and problem-solving using software such as Slope/W and CIRCLY to facilitate geotechnical and civil designs;
* Provide construction phase advice, inspection and assessment for various building, infrastructure and landslide remediation projects;
* Plan, coordinate and conduct field investigations for residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects;
* Perform site inspections, testing, geological face mapping, monitoring services for earthworks, pavements, road and rail projects;
* Write technical memoranda, letters and reports to a high standard for clients;
* Develop business opportunities, manage client relationships and contribute to project growth.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of five years' professional experience as a Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist;
* A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science;
* The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment;
* Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues, clients and contractors;
* Strong problem-solving and pattern recognition abilities;
* High computer and writing proficiency;
* A commitment to safety and professional integrity;
* A current Australian driver's license (Class C).
