**The Company**
Our client is a privately owned company with two business streams - Audio Visual solutions and Sheet Metal manufacturing. Established 20 years ago, the business has grown substantially over time by delivering first-grade products and unsurpassed customer service. This combination of quality products, along with a constant desire to grow and improve has helped them become one of the most prominent providers of audio-visual solutions and TV lift cabinets in Australia for residential and commercial purposes.
**The Role**
This is a challenging, hands on role where the General Manager's primary focus is to achieve the commercial and operational goals of the business. It is responsible for the achievement of revenue and profit budgets, leadership of the team, all business functions including manufacturing as well as continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Development and implementation of a profitable business plan
- Managing business growth through effective sales leadership and customer centricity
- Product development and delivery including the design and manufacturing functions
- Effective financial management with responsibility for the profit and loss statement, the balance sheet and cash performance
- Delivering operational excellence
- Leadership and development of a values-based culture
- Overall performance and People Management
**The General Manager**
- Demonstrated success in a manufacturing business
- Experience and working knowledge of metal manufacturing processes across a variety of products
- High level sales and sales leadership capabilities
- Proven financial and commercial skills
- A passion and commitment to continuous improvement
- People skills that produce results from the boardroom to the factory floor
- Tertiary qualifications in management or engineering
- Ideally, experience in LEAN
- A demonstrated commitment to customer success
- An exemplary OHS & E track record
- High levels of personal and commercial resilience
