Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join our Hägglunds team, supporting customers across industrial and heavy industry sectors.
This role is responsible for developing strong customer relationships, driving sales growth, and delivering technical solutions across Hägglunds hydraulic drive systems and complete drive solutions. You will work closely with customers, OEMs, and consultants to understand operational requirements and provide tailored, value driven outcomes.
Working collaboratively with Engineering, Production, and Service teams, you will play a key role in supporting customer success while contributing to sustainable business growth across your region.
What you will be doing
* Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong long term relationships with customers, OEMs, consultants, and key stakeholders
* Sales & Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities, grow existing accounts, and drive regional sales growth across Hägglunds products and systems
* Technical Sales Support: Provide technical guidance, system recommendations, and pre sales support to deliver practical engineered solutions
* Quotations & Commercial Support: Prepare technical and commercial quotations, negotiate contract terms, and support tender submissions
* Market & Growth Strategy: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to support pricing strategies and future growth opportunities
* Collaboration & Project Support: Work closely with internal teams including Engineering, Production, Service, and Quality to ensure customer requirements are met
* Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate sales reporting, forecasts, budgets, and customer records
* Industry Engagement: Represent the business at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events, with regular regional travel required
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years' experience in technical sales, business development, or engineered solution sales
* Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, industrial drive systems, or similar heavy industry equipment
* Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and drive sales growth within industrial or mining environments
* Experience preparing technical quotations, supporting complex sales processes, and delivering value based solutions
* Technical trade or engineering qualification, with experience in hydraulics, industrial drives, or heavy industry equipment
* Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Proficient computer skills across Microsoft Office and CRM
* Current driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly
