About The Role
Schlam is seeking an experienced Market Manager - APAC to drive growth and strengthen relationships across our key mining customers. This role is responsible for expanding Schlam's share of business within a portfolio of strategic customers, while identifying new opportunities for both capital equipment sales and refurbishment services.
Working closely with Account Managers, Product Lifecycle, Engineering, and Sales teams, the Market Manager will act as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring Schlam's payload solutions and Ground Engaging Tools (GET) offerings align with operational requirements and deliver measurable value.
This role plays a critical part in developing long-term partnerships, supporting strategic sales initiatives, and helping grow Schlam's aftermarket and customer support capabilities across the region.
Key Responsibilities Of This Role Include
Customer Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key mining clients across the region.
* Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts through new product sales and refurbishment services.
* Act as the primary contact for strategic customers within the bucket and rebuild segment.
* Proactively manage customer issues and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution.
* Monitor contract performance and customer satisfaction.
Sales Strategy & Operations
* Manage regional sales leads and opportunities to meet or exceed sales targets.
* Contribute to sales forecasting, budgeting, and go-to-market strategies.
* Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate and timely sales activity and intelligence within CRM systems.
* Identify opportunities for bucket sales and rebuild service offerings.
* Maintain visibility of rebuild pipelines and align opportunities for new GET installations with customer maintenance cycles.
Technical Coordination
* Liaise with Product Applications and Engineering teams, both internally and at USCO group level.
* Provide technical input to support sales opportunities and help customers understand product capabilities.
* Support Engineering and Product Lifecycle teams with commercial insights and customer requirements.Participate in warranty review processes when required.
Internal Collaboration
* Act as a key liaison between internal departments to ensure customer expectations are met.
* Collaborate with Product Lifecycle, Account Managers, Engineering, and Product teams during site visits and customer engagements.
* Brand Representation & Compliance
* Represent Schlam professionally in all client and industry interactions.
* Ensure adherence to company policies, sales processes, and relevant regulatory requirements.
About You
A commercially driven professional with strong experience in mining equipment and Ground Engaging Tools (GET), you bring the ability to build trusted relationships with customers at both operational and strategic levels. With a solid technical understanding of mining attachments and loading equipment, you are skilled at translating customer requirements into practical, value-driven solutions that support operational performance and long-term partnerships.
You'll require the following skills, knowledge and experience to succeed:
* Strong understanding of mining loading equipment, attachments, and load-haul mining processes.
* Demonstrated experience with Ground Engaging Tools (GET).
* Experience in capital equipment sales within the mobile equipment manufacturing sector.
* Experience scoping and quoting large excavator and wheel loader attachments, particularly for refurbishment.
* Strong B2B sales and commercial negotiation skills.
* Ability to identify new opportunities within existing accounts.
* Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
* Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
* Current valid driver's licence.
