HR Driver/Yardhand - YATALA BASE

We are looking for a reliable and safety‐focused truck driver for our Yatala depot who wants a long‐term, stable, full‐time role with a company that values experience, teamwork, and doing the job right the first time.

About the Role
This is a varied hands-on role combining local truck driving with yard duties, ideal for someone who enjoys staying active rather than sitting idle all day.
Driving & Transport Duties
* Timely delivery and collection of hire equipment to and from local customer job sites
* Safe loading and unloading of equipment using a forklift
* Operating Mabey Hire trucks professionally
* Keeping trucks clean, safe, and presentable
* Completing vehicle inspections twice weekly, reporting any defects immediately
* Full compliance with:
o Company policies
o NHVR and state/federal regulations
o Fatigue and logbook requirements
Yard & Support Duties
* Repair and maintenance of hire equipment to a safe, workable condition
* Cleaning and inspecting equipment for the next hire
* Painting equipment as required
* General housekeeping and maintenance of the yard, tools, and facility
We're Looking For
Essential
* HR unrestricted licence (manual synchro gearbox – advantageous)
* White Card (Site Safety Card)
* Strong safety focus and work ethic
* Good communication skills
* Reliable transport to and from work
* Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team
Highly Regarded (But Not Essential)
* Forklift Licence
* CV Crane Licence
* Experience operating Hiab / Palfinger vehicle-mounted cranes
Pay & Conditions
* Hourly rate based on experience and tickets held
* Immediate start available (subject to licence checks)
* Pre‐employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing, required
