Client & Location Information
Community Pharmacy located in a tranquil town in the Central Highlands of QLD, approximately a 1.5hrs flight from Brisbane.
Known as the 'Gateway to the Outback'.
It's a outstanding place to explore the stunning landscapes of the Central Queensland Highlands, including the Sapphire Gemfields, where you can try your hand at fossicking for precious stones.
Enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, hiking, or biking through the surrounding countryside.
Job Specification
As the locum pharmacist, you could be working both as a sole pharmacist and/or a team pharmacist depending on the day.
You will be dispensing on DispenseWork and will have plenty of support from very experienced dispensary technicians and support staff.
If you are accredited to vaccinate, this will form part of your duties, along with some webster checking and a small number of suboxone patients and cannabis.
Dates: ASAP until 27th September 2025 (Locums must be able to work a minimum of 4 weeks or longer to apply).
Work Hours: Roster of 38 - 40 hours per week minimum (actual hours will be discussed with the locum directly).
Store Hours:
Mon/Tues/Wed./Friday 8:30 to 6pm (30 min break if not sole pharmacist).
Thursday 8:30 to 7:30 pm (30 min break if not sole pharmacist).
Saturday 8:30 - 5pm (no break).
Sunday 9-5pm (no break).
Experience Required:
Registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Experience with Dispense work (preferred but not essential).
Able to work in a busy pharmacy workplace as the sole pharmacist if required.
Vaccination accreditation (preferred but not essential).
Suboxone experience (preferred but not essential).
Cannabis experience (preferred but not essential).
Salary & Perks:
$75 p/hr + super Monday to Friday.
$80/hr + super Weekends.
Public Holidays $100/hr + super.
Travel: Flights or mileage comparable to flights ($0.99/km).
Accommodation: Self-contained.
Store Car: Available for use if locums are flying in.
