About the Position
The primary goal of this role is to ensure that workplace safety and well-being are integrated into all aspects of operations.
* Leadership in WHS Governance: Develop and maintain a robust WHS Management System to achieve zero harm and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and business objectives.
* Compliance & Expertise: Stay up-to-date with relevant WA WHS laws, codes, and guidelines; act as the main point of contact for regulators and regulatory bodies.
* Risk Management & Leadership: Oversee risk assessments, maintain risk registers, and lead audits, inspections, and investigations with thorough root cause analysis.
* Training & Mentorship: Deliver competency-based WHS training programs; mentor teams on incident reporting systems and processes.
* Technology & Data Analysis: Champion WHS technology systems and analytics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
* Contractor Safety: Enforce contractor compliance programmes and collaborate with operational leaders to uphold process safety standards.
* Health & Wellbeing: Oversee health and hygiene planning for the organisation and foster a safe and healthy work environment culture.
* Communication & Reporting: Prepare high-quality documentation, reports, and presentations; proactively communicate WHS issues and progress.
