Established in 1965, Sellick Consultants is Canberra's longest continually running engineering design consultancy which has grown from humble beginnings to become a one of Canberra's most trusted engineering consultancies across structural, hydraulic and civil disciplines. We take pride in helping to build the city we live in- from Canberra Grammar's award winning underground auditorium and Stromlo Pool's long spanning timber roof to the Brindabella 6 offices and Belconnen's Republic and Dusk residential towers and so many more.
We are looking for a talented and experienced senior structural engineer who has a great work ethic and strong technical skills. You'll thrive on working collaboratively in a dynamic team environment, and be comfortable working across multiple challenging projects simultaneously. The role will require working closely with clients, directors, engineers, and technicians to develop projects from conceptual design through to construction

We work across sectors from multi-unit residential to offices, warehouses, industrial, educational, institutional, sports facilities and much more using concrete, steel and timber to provide superior outcomes for our clients.
The successful applicant will need to possess the following:
* Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering. Graduates from recognised Australian Educational Facilities are preferred, but not essential.
* Chartered Member of Engineers Australia
* 8 years post-graduate experience in the Australian market as a guide. More experienced applicants are welcome and relevant experience in Canberra is highly valued.
* Comprehensive knowledge of relevant design codes and the first principles underpinning the work we do
* Excellent engineering analysis skills. Ideally including experience in RAPT, RAM Concept and the wider Bentley suite, SpaceGASS, and Strand along with Excel, Word and Outlook
* Experience with post-tensioned concrete design is highly valued, and experience in reinforced concrete, steel, timber and masonry is ideal
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Project management skills including managing deadlines and a highly skilled team of engineers and draftspersons
* A strong desire for professional and technical development and to share your skills with the junior members of the team
