Due to high demand, we are seeking an enthusiastic community-focused person who want to make a difference by connecting and supporting older people within the Indigo Shire towns of Beechworth, Rutherglen, Yackandandah & Tangambalanga.
About this Role
* You will provide compassionate home-based care by building trust and taking the lead to support individuals to live as independently as possible at home and stay connected to their community.
* Individual care that is tailored to suit the personal needs of our individual clients.
Duties
* Provide personal care to our clients including assistance with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.
* Provide general home support and light housekeeping duties, assistance with meal preparations, and companionship.
* Provide incidental transport to appointments, shopping and social outings.
Skills & Experience
* Certificate III in Individual Support
* Possess exceptional communication skills, can-do attitude, empathy for and an understanding of the needs of the elderly.
* Have patience, and a desire to help improve the lives of seniors and their families.
* Be personable, compassionate, approachable and able to build relationships with each of your clients.
* Be reliable, responsive, efficient, confident and proactive.
* Value and enjoy the company of older people.
Preferred Requirements
* Current Victorian Driver's Licence and have access to a reliable car, and comprehensive car insurance.
* NDIS Worker Screening Test
* Level 2 First Aid
* Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or have a Right to Work in Australia.
