Senior Infrastructure Project Manager – Location: Melbourne | Employment Type: Contract
This is an opportunity to join a leading Enterprise Financial Services organization to lead the delivery of high-impact infrastructure and technology solutions. As a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager, you will drive the activation of end-to-end digital experiences and core infrastructure that are secure, scalable, and robust. You will be responsible for steering large-scale initiatives with a focus on business benefits, cultivating innovation, and ensuring all delivery aligns with contemporary best-practice methods to improve customer and business outcomes within the Insurance domain.
Key Criteria
* 5+ years of experience in project management with an IT Infrastructure focus.
* Proven track record of delivering larger and more complex technology initiatives in infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, network, etc.
* Significant experience within Enterprise-scale Financial Services or Insurance domain (Preferred) environments.
* Experience managing multi-disciplined teams across a matrix management structure.
* Proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies.
* Strong background in 3rd party and vendor management.
* Solid expertise in Risk Management, Resource Management, and Cost Management.
* Tertiary qualifications in a Business or Technology related field.
Key Relationships
* Internal: Technology-based business system owners, users, and application platform managers.
* Leadership: Reporting to the Manager, Continual Delivery and engaging with Delivery Leads.
* External: 3rd party vendors, external resources, and business partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Leadership: Lead larger infrastructure project teams to deliver enhanced customer and business outcomes while fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
* Strategic Delivery: Build and execute delivery roadmaps that outline execution, implementation, and embedment phases for complex solutions.
* Financial Oversight: Manage project finances, including budget definition, allocation, and tracking for larger-scale initiatives.
* Stakeholder Alignment: Negotiate conflicts and guide business and technology stakeholders to ensure informed decision-making and alignment on priorities.
* Governance & Risk: Build and maintain risk profiles, schedules, and financial tracking to align with the organizational appetite for operational risk.
* Infrastructure Integration: Identify and manage complex solution integration touch-points and inter-dependencies across the enterprise estate.
* Pipeline Management: Collaborate with business counterparts to manage and prioritize the delivery backlog and balance resource supply and demand.
