Construction Project Manager

About the role
We have experienced exponential growth and require a full time Gold Coast based Project Manager to lead multiple projects in Queensland and nationally throughout Australia.
The successful candidate will lead this project to begin with and work closely with the Managing Director and project team, providing project management services. This involves coordinating team members, third-party contractors, and consultants to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to acceptable quality to exceed our client’s expectations.
Responsibilities
- Lead Project Management Delivery and Advisory Projects within parameters set by the Managing Director
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Set and manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders
- Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
- Develop and deliver progress reports, required documentation and presentations
- Lead project teams including but not limited to project assistants, project coordinators, designers, engineers, contract Administrators, contractors, tradesmen and consultants
- Identify risks and mitigations and resolve project issues and conflicts
- Plan and manage work streams and deliverables including costs, time, scope and quality constraints
- Define and manage project management documentation including Project Scope, Risk registers, Action registers, Issue Registers and Decision Registers
- Lead project planning activities and develop full-scale project plans/programs and associated documents
- Manage project communications including phone calls, emails and meetings
- Assist with financial management tasks including Purchase orders, invoicing, project budget and cost tracking
- Assist with coordination and management of project resources
- Lead administration activities including following up on project specific actions, arranging meetings, recording meeting minutes, drafting and following up on emails
- Monitor and report project progress on project specific KPI’s
About you
- Ideally have at least 3 years project management experience ideally in construction
- Based in Gold Coast, Australia and work from the office 4 days per week and 1 day WFH
- Exceptional team player and be able to work autonomously
- Outstanding time management, prioritising, multi-tasking and organisation skills
- Strong communication verbal and written skills
- Highly motivated with a commitment to self-improvement and customer satisfaction
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent computing skills and use of MS Office including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Meets or exceeds Key Performance targets and objectives
- Must have experience using MS Project, Smartsheet or equivalent Project Management Software
- Ideally have Project Management Qualifications in PMP or Prince2 and a degree in business, construction or healthcare
