About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Ophthalmic/Scrub Scout Registered Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. In this role, you will
* Scrub and scout for a variety of ophthalmic procedures, with a primary focus on cataract, oculoplastic pterygium procedures.
* Work collaboratively with the surgical and anaesthetic teams to ensure safe, efficient theatre workflows.
* Support instrument preparation, set-up and turnover between cases.
* Contribute to a positive, team-focused environment within our multidisciplinary perioperative team.
We are offering a part-time contract to the right candidate.
About You
You are a compassionate, patient-focused perioperative nurse with experience in ophthalmic theatre nursing and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care.
You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in supporting seamless surgical lists and exceptional patient outcomes.
Essential Criteria
* Current AHPRA registration
* Minimum 2–3 years' nursing experience
* Scrub/scout experience in ophthalmology is essential
* Strong clinical judgement and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Commitment to safe, high-quality patient care
* Willingness to broaden skills across other perioperative tasks when required
