Community Support Specialist
We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Support Specialist to join our team in Tennant Creek.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting community members to access domestic, family and sexual violence services, as well as raising awareness through various activities.
* Support community members to access existing DFSV services by providing information and referrals.
* Conduct community consultation to inform the development of strategies to address DFSV in the local area.
* Develop and deliver community-based activities to raise awareness about DFSV and promote healthy relationships.
* Gather information to inform the service mapping and needs assessment process for local services related to DFSV.
The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering culturally responsive and trauma-informed community-based activities and be willing to engage with all different Aboriginal language groups and families.
