About the role

We have an opportunity for a Systems Administrator to be part of our Forensic Innovation and Quality, Forensic Evidence & Technical Services Command team. The System Administrator provides support, service delivery and systems administration on behalf of the organisation in regard to the corporate information request system acquiring external information; and the ongoing stakeholder relations with information suppliers.

This job has a lot of direct interaction with forensic investigators with interesting and unique technology. The organisation has recently replaced 2 large aged systems with current and fresh software. There are many technical challenges associated with this that bring out problem solving and work prioritisation skills.

Target Question 1:

Describe a time where you have been responsible for the planning and testing of current versions of system software. What tools did you use to document the end-to-end process? What was the outcome and what lessons were learnt as a result of the change? A successful or unsuccessful change can be used in your response as both aspects demonstrate skills and ability.

Target Question 2:

Describe a business process improvement identified by you and how you implemented it. What consultation was done, who was involved in implementing it, how was it documented, how did this change improve the business process once implemented?

To be eligible to apply for this role, you must meet one of the following statuses:

- a permanent resident of Australia; or
- a New Zealand citizen.

Prior to commencement, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a rigorous National Police (criminal history) Check and obtain and maintain a Security Clearance as determined by the NSW Police Force.

Total Remunuation Package: Base salary ranges from $113,574 to $125,720 plus employer's contribution to superannuation of 12% and annual leave loading.
