An outstanding career prospect is available for an experienced and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join the Griffin Coal mobile maintenance team.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership, direction and co-ordination to the Maintenance crew so that production outcomes are achieved, and work completed in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
- Supervise maintenance activities ensuring planned maintenance schedules are achieved
- Effectively managing crew members including job allocation, attendance and performance
- Co-ordinate effective interactions between production and maintenance personnel
- Completing daily supervisor shift reports
- Actively participate in safety meetings, safety audits, behaviour observations, incident reporting and investigations
- Utilise resources effectively and facilitate cost reduction initiatives
EXPERIENCE
The preferred candidate will have:
- Relevant trade certificate (Heavy Automotive)
- 2 years’ supervisory experience in heavy industry or mining environments (preferably open cut)
- The ability to handle crucial situations in a calm and effective manner
- Proven leadership experience and qualities
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to promote and encourage high performance and safety in the workplace
- The ability to manage multiple projects and respond well to pressure
THE LOCATION & LIFESTYLE
Griffin Coal Ewington Mine is located near Collie, a town which is located 45 minutes from the coastal city of Bunbury and 2.5 hours from the capital city of Perth, Western Australia. This is a residential role and as such no relocation package is being offered.
