Job Description:
The Tax Services team is a key component of the Operations division, providing essential support to business and client activities. The team works in partnership with clients to ensure accurate and timely regulatory deliverables.
Key responsibilities include managing client relationships from a tax reporting perspective, industry involvement in tax forums, and delivering monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including over 500 distribution calculations annually.
The team performs an internal audit function to ensure accuracy of tax records and works with other departments to resolve internal and external queries.
SMEs are involved in transitions and projects, ensuring services comply with current legislative and regulatory requirements and operational risk guidelines.
Summary of the Role:
As the Manager, you will report directly to the Head of Financial Reporting and Tax Services, responsible for managing a specialist team.
You will be responsible for allocating work to staff, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reports and calculations to clients, and assisting the Tax team in resolving specific client queries.
Working closely with other tax managers and teams within the Operations division, you will facilitate excellent client support and service, dealing proactively and effectively with both internal and external clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* At least 6-8 years Australian experience in the financial services industry
* Extensive tax compliance experience in dealing with managed investment schemes, life and general insurance, and superannuation funds
* Experience in managing individuals/stakeholders and developing them over time
* Time management and planning and coordination skills
* Proven track record of managing clients and uplifting client service
