The Team
Recruitment Services sits within People and Culture and partners closely with business units and managers across the Department of Health, including the Tasmanian Health Service, to deliver end‑to‑end recruitment services. The team supports all aspects of recruitment, including advertising, selection, appointment, pre‑employment checks, job design, and talent acquisition. Recruitment Services is an evolving and innovative team, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to contemporary recruitment practices and attract a strong, sustainable health workforce.
The Role
The Principal Recruitment Lead plays a pivotal role in managing the implementation of operations of the Recruitment team during a period of significant transformation. This position is responsible for assisting the Manager, Recruitment with the day-to-day operational delivery of recruitment services, while simultaneously providing expertise on strategic initiatives to transition recruitment functions to a contemporary recruitment partnership service model. The occupant operates with high levels of autonomy and initiative.
You will need
* Demonstrated ability to support senior leaders in the design, implementation and delivery of contemporary recruitment service models, contributing high‑level input, concept development and practical application of project management methodologies.
* Proven capability to support the implementation of agency‑wide talent acquisition strategies, including leading designated award teams and aligning recruitment outcomes with broader organisational priorities.
* Extensive experience providing high‑level advice on awards, classifications, role design and contract provisions, ensuring accurate interpretation, consistency and compliance across a large and complex organisation.
* Strong leadership, mentoring and people management skills with a focus on building capability, performance, engagement and continuity across recruitment teams.

Details of Appointment
Multiple permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Please note, these are statewide roles and can be based in either our Hobart or Launceston office. Appointments will be made in order of merit.

Salary
$128,102 - $134,832 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with the Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award (HAHSA) and the Public Sector Union Wages Agreement (PSUWA)

Eligibility
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
* A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or other related field.
* Significant demonstrated experience as a recruitment partner in a large, diverse or complex environment.
* Drivers License.
