Survey Services Lead – Woolpert

The Opportunity
We are seeking a Survey Services Lead to join our high‑performing Melbourne team. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will oversee and manage all survey operations across projects, ensuring accurate, timely, and high‑quality survey services for construction, civil and infrastructure works.
Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise survey teams across multiple projects, applying strong project management skills and fostering collaboration with project managers, surveyors, sales teams, subject‑matter experts and clients.
* Oversee the use and maintenance of survey equipment and software (e.g., AutoCAD), and manage the allocation of resources, equipment and personnel to meet project demands.
* Monitor and enforce compliance with WHS regulations, environmental standards and company policies.
* Manage the financial aspects of project delivery to ensure alignment within budget requirements.
* Provide on‑site field support when required.
Qualifications
* University qualification or TAFE Diploma in Surveying.
* Minimum 5–7 years of professional surveying experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
* Strong technical expertise in surveying methodologies, software applications and a comprehensive understanding of survey principles and industry practices.
* Ability to interpret and analyze complex survey, 3‑D and architectural data.
* Strong knowledge of Australian cadastral standards.
* A valid driver's licence and White Card.
Desirable Experience
* Experience managing survey services across a range of projects in Australia and understanding of contract terms and conditions.
* Experience delivering data on web‑based platforms.
* Strong knowledge of survey technologies (UAV/drone operations, 3‑D modelling, Bathy, ImageMesh, PointCloud).
* Advanced skills in BIM integration and 3‑D modelling project management.
