About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for twoSite Interpreters working at the Naracoorte Caves in the beautifulLimestone Coast Region of SA. The Site Interpreter undertakesinterpreted guided tours for the general public and educationalprograms for schools. The role also includes some site managementfunctions, such as facilities servicing, bookings management andsome grounds keeping tasks. Excellent customer service skills andthe ability to present information with an artistic flair areessential as part of the role. A willingness to work school andpublic holidays, along with long weekends, is a must.

Contract:
Contract for 12 months. Please note that there are 2casual roles available.
Special Conditions:
* May be required to participate in fire management orassociated duties
* A current class "C" driver's licence andwillingness and ability to safely operate a 4wd isessential.
* Located at either the Naracoorte Caves NP and/or TantanoolaCaves CP.
* Required to work a roster including weekends and publicholidays. Hours of work vary according to the operational needsof the business centre and the incumbent may be required towork at short notice.
* A current First Aid Certificate is highly desirable.
* Will be required to wear a uniform in accordance withdepartmental policy.
* This role has functions pertaining to working with childrenand is prescribed under the Child Safety (Prohibited Person)Act 2016 as requiring a Working With Children Check (WWCC). Byapplying for this role you consent to being screened forappropriate behaviour and to the Department obtaining, orrequiring you to obtain a WWCC.
* This role has been designated as a Position of Trustpursuant to the standards required in the Australian GovernmentProtective Security Policy Framework. By applying for this roleyou consent to being screened under the process of obtaining aNational Police Clearance (NPC), and to the Departmentrequiring you to obtain an NPC.
Remuneration:
GSE3 $36.38 min to $36.76 max per hour including 25% casual loadingin lieu of annual leave and sick leave
