Procurement Officer Role
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer with a strong understanding of the Asia Pacific supply market to join our Commercial team in Perth.
The successful candidate will report to the Procurement Manager and be involved in sourcing, purchasing, and day-to-day purchase order management activities within an assigned portfolio.
Main Responsibilities:
* Providing a dedicated purchasing service to stakeholders
* Identifying opportunities for cost reduction and value adding when entering into supplier agreements
* Liaising with suppliers to ensure quality of goods purchased meets required standards
* Placing orders for goods and services at the optimum price
* Supporting stakeholders through procurement processes
* Monitoring delivery schedules and liaising directly with customers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of procured goods and services
* Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies
Key Skills and Qualifications:
A mechanical background or experience in component repair and maintenance programs is desirable.
A tertiary qualification in procurement, supply chain, business, finance, or related fields is highly desirable.
