Position: Lecturer in Psychology, Placement Coordinator, Education-focused
Location: Based at Melbourne Burwood Campus with hybrid work arrangements
Employment type: Part-time 0.5 FTE and continuing
Salary: Level B $117,684 - $139,191 plus 17% Superannuation

Responsibilities
- Work with the Director of Clinical Programs and Partnerships and Course Directors to develop and maintain relationships with agencies to secure and provide high-quality professional placement opportunities for Postgraduate Professional Psychology students.
- Develop and nurture links and partnerships with industry, professional bodies and the wider community.
- Develop and administer professional development programs for field supervisors to grow the number of placement supervisors who meet the criteria for Registered Supervisor endorsed status as required by the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Provide supervision and support to students on clinical placement.
- Develop flexible-delivery course materials relating to placement requirements, including online materials.
- Contribute to the development of systems for assessment of placements, including evaluating supervisee competency.
- Record placement data and complete internal and external records.
- Teach in the area of professional psychology at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, contribute to unit and course reviews, and implement refinements in line with the University’s teaching principles.
Qualifications and Requirements
- PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience.
- Registered psychologist (APHRA).
- Area of practice endorsement (Desirable).
- Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor status (Desirable).
- Record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including cutting-edge curriculum design.
- Demonstrated passion for teaching and learning and ability to deliver effective teaching practices to improve student success and engagement.
- Ability to contribute to research and to build collaborative relationships with colleagues.
