We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Legal Assistant tojoin our Dispute Resolution and Public Law team based in ourMelbourne office.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a very experienced LegalAssistant to join a growing and thriving Dispute Resolutionpractice at a top national law firm that has a supportive cultureand collegiate environment.
In this role, you will provide administrative support to anumber of Partners and lawyers in both our general commerciallitigation and our public law dispute resolution teams.
You will be responsible for:
* attending to opening files and conducting conflictchecks;
* monthly billing, reconciliation of expenses and clientreporting;
* attending to searches on companies and individuals;
* assisting in the preparation of court documents andcorrespondence;
* formatting and word processing (with support from ourdedicated Document Support team);
* attending to e-filing using online court portals;
* coordinating meetings and diary management;
* assisting the team with file management;
* liaising with clients, suppliers and stakeholders; and
* maintaining Partners/lawyers' contacts in our firmCRM InterAction, including assisting with list management ontheir behalf for events and communications.
About you
You will ideally have the following skills and experience:
* a minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal assistantwithin a litigation and public sector law practice;
* outstanding oral and written communication skills and astrong client service focus;
* proactive and an ability to prioritise tasks;
* strong attention to detail;
* strong administrative support skills, including experiencewith billing and document management systems;
* experience using Aderant and iManage; and
* strong time management and organisational skills.
