About the role
As a Service Manager at TRACPOWER NQ PTY LTD', you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient and effective operation of our busy automotive service centre. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled technicians, ensuring all service and repair work is completed to the highest standard. This is a full-time role based in Brandon, Queensland.
What you'll be doing
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the service centre, including scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation
* Oversee the work of technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
* Ensure all servicing and repairs are carried out in a timely, cost-effective, and customer-focused manner
* Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide updates on the status of their vehicles
* Maintain accurate records of all service and repair work, including parts used and labour costs
* Monitor and report on key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement
* Collaborate with the Parts Manager to ensure the availability of necessary parts and materials
* Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and training programs
What we're looking for
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar service management role, preferably in the agricultural industry
* Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
* Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
* Proficient in using service management software and other relevant digital tools
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
* A relevant trade qualification or diploma in Agricultural Mechanics or a related field
