The position of Indigenous Business Development Manager is available at a leading organization. This role plays a critical leadership function in advancing the organization's strategic goals through culturally aligned business development, Indigenous stakeholder engagement, and long-term commercial partnerships.
You will lead the identification and conversion of high-value opportunities, foster strong relationships with clients and Indigenous stakeholders, and champion Indigenous participation and procurement outcomes across business operations.
* Lead the identification and conversion of high-value opportunities, aligning with growth priorities and Indigenous participation goals
* Build and nurture commercial partnerships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 clients, government bodies, and contractors
* Develop compelling EOIs, tenders, proposals, and Indigenous engagement plans
* Drive the creation of joint ventures and supply chain partnerships with Indigenous businesses
* Represent the organization at business forums and industry events to enhance visibility and influence
* Collaborate across internal teams to align Indigenous engagement with recruitment, project delivery, and cultural capability building
* Lead the implementation and monitoring of Indigenous procurement and participation targets
This role requires a proven track record in Indigenous business development and stakeholder engagement, ideally in mining, civil, construction, or related sectors. A tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Indigenous Studies, Community Development, or a related field is also necessary.
A key requirement for this position is the ability to work collaboratively with Traditional Owners, stakeholders, and corporate entities, demonstrating excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Additionally, a high level of cultural sensitivity, integrity, and commitment to Indigenous economic empowerment are essential.
