About the Role
At our Curragh Complex near Blackwater, accommodation is not just a support function. It is a core part of how we attract, retain and look after our workforce.
We are seeking a Superintendent Accommodation to take ownership of our full accommodation portfolio across the Curragh Complex, including residential housing and village facilities. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will lead the commercial, operational and strategic performance of our accommodation and facilities environment.
This is not a caretaker role. It is a business-critical leadership position where you will shape the experience of hundreds of employees and contractors, while managing major contracts, vendors and capital projects.
Your role will be interesting and varied and will include:
* End-to-end leadership of accommodation, facilities and village services across site
* Strategic sourcing and contract management to drive value, performance and cost control
* Leading minor capital works, refurbishment and lifecycle planning projects
* Managing and holding vendors accountable for service delivery, safety and quality
* Building strong commercial and operational relationships across site leadership
* Continually improving systems, processes and compliance across all accommodation services
Your work will directly influence employee wellbeing, retention, site culture and Coronado's reputation as an employer of choice.
About You
You are a commercially minded leader who knows how to run complex service environments and get results through people. You are comfortable balancing contracts, budgets, stakeholders and service delivery, and you take pride in lifting standards.
Key to your success will be your:
* A solid background in accommodation, facilities, property or village services, ideally in mining, resources or large remote operations
* Proven capability leading contractors, vendors and multidisciplinary teams
* Project and capital works experience, delivering on time and on budget
* A practical, analytical mindset with a drive to improve how things are done
