My client is an established and growing independent investment bank with an excellent reputation in the market.
They are sector generalists who predominantly focus on private sell-side M&A transactions but have several ASX 50 clients.
Due to growth and a strong pipeline of transactions, the team is now looking to hire an experienced Associate to help them execute a strong and exciting pipeline of deals.
The ideal candidate will have built lead M&A advisory experience at a professional services firm, a boutique investment bank or a bulge bracket firm.
Upon successful hire, you will be involved in:
* Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their professional development and growth.
* Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including company valuations, financial modelling, and due diligence, to support M&A transactions.
* Assist in the preparation of pitch books, information memoranda, and other marketing materials for client presentations.
* Support senior team members in deal execution by coordinating with various stakeholders, conducting market research, and managing due diligence processes.
* Collaborate with clients in structuring and executing capital raising initiatives, including IPOs, private placements, and debt offerings.
* Conduct market research and analysis to provide insights into market trends, investor sentiment, and valuation dynamics.
* Assist in preparing prospectuses, offering memoranda, and other documentation required for capital market transactions.
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial objectives and providing tailored financial solutions.
* Act as a key point of contact for clients, addressing their queries and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
* Work closely with senior bankers and other team members to support various stages of transactions, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.
The successful candidate will have:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification is a plus.
* Proven experience in investment banking, specifically in M&A and Capital Markets.
* Strong quantitative and financial modelling skills, with proficiency in financial analysis tools and software.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft compelling presentations and articulate complex financial concepts.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
