Our main preference are psychologists who will see children as well as adolescents and adults, in clinic. There are positions available in two of our clinics in Brisbane North and Moreton Bay area: Redcliffe and North Lakes Clinics.
We have a very focused self-care culture, flexible and lots of support with peer supervision, group and individual, with our clinical leads.
Young Minds is a busy Psychology and Allied Health Practice that has been operating for 20 years. We have a very good track record and are highly regarded with GPs and Specialists and other service providers. Referrals come mainly from GPs, Paediatricians and NDIS, and through our website.
Key Responsibilities:
* To provide comprehensive psychological assessment and intervention services to persons of all ages with diagnosed and subclinical mental health disorders through the application of the principles of evidence-based best practice, education, leadership, and case management.
* Deliver evidenced-based psychological clinical assessment, intervention and case management services to persons with mental health disorders and other serious mental health problems in accordance with the identified needs of the client, observing mental health and professional ethical standards. This includes both individual and group work.
* Plan, develop and implement outcome focused individualised treatment plans using a best practice framework with a continuity of care and recovery-oriented approach. Collaboratively involve consumers and carers in all aspects of treatment and treatment planning and provide proactive support to persons with mental health issues and their families.
* Apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to a more complex clinical caseload under the clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of a more senior clinician.
* Compilation and presentation of professional development workshops, seminars, and conferences, as required.
* Completion of directed mental health training.
Requirements:
* At least one year of full-time work experience (or part-time equivalent) as a psychologist in the past five years.
* Formal qualifications in Psychology.
* Current registration with AHPRA, or ability to acquire
* The ability to gain a Provider Number with Medicare once fully registered.
* Police Check (dated within the last 12 months).
* Demonstrated competent level of knowledge, expertise and skill in working with persons with mild to severe mental health problems spanning across all ages.
* Demonstrated capacity in planning and provision of psychological, case management and rehabilitative services using an evidenced-based approach.
* Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate service improvement initiatives and provide support/supervision to peers, subordinate personnel and students.
* Possession of a C class motor vehicle license.
