Our client is a leading name in the packaging and manufacturing industry, known for innovation, sustainability, and high-quality production. Their Smithfield site operates advanced equipment in a fast-paced industrial setting focused on safety, performance, and continuous improvement.
They are seeking a trade-qualified Electrician to support electrical maintenance and operations at this busy manufacturing site. Industrial experience is preferred, but we welcome domestic electricians who show strong technical ability and a genuine desire to learn and grow.
MUST HAVE AUSTRALIAN TRADE QUALIFICATIONS AND WORKING EXPERIENCE.
Annual Salary: $120,933
Average Hourly Rate: $52.86 per hour
Overtime Rate: $88.72 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on electrical systems and production lines
- Troubleshoot and repair faults involving PLCs (Allen Bradley) and variable speed drives (VSDs)
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety, quality, and industry standards
Key Requirements:
- NSW Electrical License with completed Australian electrical apprenticeship (essential)
- Over 2 years of practical, hands-on training and real-world experience in electrical systems
- Experience in industrial environments OR strong aptitude from domestic background
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and VSD systems required
Essential Criteria:
- Completion of a full Australian electrical apprenticeship (not just Cert III via recognition)
- Over 2 years of practical, hands-on training and real-world experience in electrical systems
- Proactive approach, strong fault-finding skills, and safety-first mindset
