Our client is a progressive construction company with projects running through-out WA.
Due to continued growth, a new position has arisen for a Transport Supervisor who will have the main responsibility of overseeing the transport, logistics, maintenance and haulage process for water and waste site crew.
Key Responsibilities and Duties Include:
Responsible for overseeing and managing the site crew including waste/water activities and personnel planning.
Prepare prompt quotations including labour, freight and machinery ensuring at all times.
Carry out regular routine inspections to identify and rectify risks.
Liaise with the drivers and maintenance crew to rectify mechanical faults.
Completing project proposals, budget estimates and preliminary schedules.
Project progress reporting and regular meetings with senior management.
Identify, report and record and non-conformances, incidences or near misses as required by the quality management system.
Providing technical support and guidance.
Completing quality assurance inspections, daily toolbox and continuously reviewing practices and procedures.
Ensure that all work is performed in compliance within industrial relations, occupational health & safety, environmental and quality standards.
Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required:
Previous experience gained in a Supervisory position within transport/construction industries.
FIFO and mine-site experience.
Analytical skills – ability to process a variety of information, evaluate costs and benefits and solve complex problems.
Planning and Scheduling experience.
Exceptional people management and time management skills.
Technically savvy, great computer skills.
Prepared to undergo pre-employment medical and DAS.
