As a pivotal figure in transportation networks, you will play a key role in driving innovation and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the development of a robust culture of health and safety practices through compliance with legislation and policy guidelines.
* Manage daily departmental duties and ensure seamless coverage for the Operations Shift Manager and Operations Lead as required.
* Conduct thorough debriefs of all staff members and ensure accurate completion of necessary paperwork.
* Assign work to staff to optimize workflow and meet daily metrics targets.
* Ensure adequate resourcing for your function, including call outs for training needs, absence, and performance management.
* Train new associates to equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform tasks effectively.
* Monitor, track, and report departmental metrics, analyzing and understanding the reasons behind success and failure in meeting departmental goals.
* Monitor and report hours and schedules for Associates.
* Solve process-related area issues as required and ensure high-quality equipment defect reporting.
Essential Qualifications:
* Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement initiatives.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in logistics and warehouse operations.
