The role
- Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on appropriate management and resolution of employment matters including employee grievances, attendance management, performance and conduct matters.
- Support case management activities relating to the management of complex conduct and performance or health management matters.
- Undertake research and analysis to provide best practice, contemporary advice that aligns to the Queensland public sector employment framework.
- Establish effective working relationships with Department of Health clients through the provision of timely, high-quality authoritative advice and support.
- Assist in compiling the Department of Health's quarterly Conduct and Performance (CaPE) report for the Public Sector Commission (PSC).
- Analyse and report on human resource data to provide insight and recommendations aligned with Queensland Health's values and strategic direction.
- Understanding of, and commitment to, contemporary human resource management principles, including employment equity, human rights, workplace health and safety, and ethical behaviours.
- Other duties as determined by the Principal Advisor.

- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare and present high-level advice documents, formal submissions and reports.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment to resolve complex and sensitive employment issues.
- Highly developed analytical skills.
- Ability to complete work within timeframes, manage competing priorities and ensure attention to detail.
