We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to fill a permanent position at our clinic in Canberra.

* Liaise with staff, patients, and external bodies to ensure efficient communication and prompt response to telephone calls and dissemination of information.
* Manage resources to ensure adequate supplies for general nursing.
* Accurately record patient notes and all patient engagement in CAPStone.
* Provide timely and prompt patient follow-up, recording all engagement in CAPStone.
* Adhere to administration protocols and processes to ensure accurate uploading of patient paperwork in CAPStone and completion of documentation.
* Set up and end-of-day pack down equipment and instruments.
* Assist with accreditation processes and quality assurance protocols and policies.
* Take ownership and be accountable for the duties of a Sole Vita nurse, working within the boundaries of national Quality Standards.
* Liaise with Directors of Nursing and support them as required.
* Check-in and discharge patients safely.
* Prepare procedure rooms and surgical equipment, instruments, and disposables for each procedure.
* Care for patients during procedures in a confident and professional manner.
* Follow instructions from doctors regarding procedure technique and requirements.
* Assist doctors as required throughout procedures, following their specific instruction and aligning with the clinic's policies and procedures.
* Provide surgical scrubbing and scouting duties for the private hospital (for both local and general anaesthetic procedures).
* Support doctors in Skin Cancer Clinic.
* Fulfill recovery nursing duties in the private hospital.
* Manage patient pathology specimens and ensure correct labelling and dispatch to pathology.
* Sterilize instruments (CSD) adhering to stated techniques in compliance with National Standards.
* Educate patients pre- and post-operatively on relevant information.
* Respond promptly to external medical enquiries (patient inquiries, advice, and wound management).
* Maintain a strict record of doctors' and contractors' equipment and its location.
* Ensure adequate stock levels of all disposables, sutures, and dressings in each clinic.
* Order, prepare, and store injectables appropriately.
* Perform injectable treatments within training provided boundaries.
* Support injectable clients with education, follow-up, and timely reviews.
* Ensure all procedures and processes comply with the National Safety & Quality in Health Care Standards (NSQHS) and Infection Control and Occupational Health & Safety Practices.
