To support this vision, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Managerto lead our efforts in securing new business, nurturing key relationships, and driving revenue growth in our Ground Solutions division .
About the Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while nurturing relationships with existing clients. Your focus will be on expanding our market presence across industries such as civil construction, mining and industrial dust suppression. You will leverage your technical expertise and industry network to conduct site inspections, develop tailored solutions and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Market Expansion
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities in road stabilisation, dust suppression, mining and civil construction sectors.
* Develop and execute sales strategies to drive market penetration and revenue growth.
* Leverage industry networks and build strategic partnerships to expand BCL’s reach.
Client Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors and industry stakeholders.
* Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance to clients on product applications.
* Work closely with customers to understand their challenges and tailor solutions accordingly.
* Prepare and present proposals, quotations and tenders.
* Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, track sales performance and report on market trends.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of solutions.
Key Requirements
* Industry Experience: Background in civil engineering, mining, dust suppression or road stabilisation is highly desirable.
* Technical Knowledge: Ability to conduct site inspections and provide technical recommendations.
* Strong Network: Established industry contacts with the ability to leverage existing relationships for business growth.
* People Skills: Excellent relationship-building, negotiation and communication skills.
* Business Acumen: Ability to identify opportunities, close deals and drive revenue.
* Computer & Reporting Skills: Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
Industry-Related Qualifications (preferred but not mandatory)
* Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology Degree – Useful for understanding road stabilisation, soil mechanics and dust suppression solutions.
* Diploma or Certificate in Mining, Construction or Engineering – A practical alternative to a full degree, particularly for candidates with hands-on experience.
